Unified Facility Management began as Spar-Kil-Kleen in 1981, when Theresa and Walter Hoyt started offering janitorial services in Middletown New York.

Zack and Katie Hoyt brought Spar-Kil-Kleen to the North Country, first as a part-time detailing business in 2010, then as a full partnership in 2015 after the birth of their daughter, Macie.

After years of growth and of building a reputation for providing exceptional services, they realized the business had evolved. While Spar-Kil-Kleen is focused on the provision of janitorial services, they were doing more. Clients weren’t just receiving cleaning services, but maintenance, renovation, and consultation services as well. It was time to officially transition into the realm of facility management.

February 7th, 2023, Unified Facility Management, LLC was born.
